You can create fun and beautiful prints without expensive press or fancy art materials using everyday materials. We will focus on different print-making techniques, collagraph relief, mono-printing, & trace-monoprints, reduction prints, tetra-pack printing, and faux silk screening.
We will use wooden spoons, a pasta machine, and a tortilla press to make our prints. Besides printing beautiful printmakers' paper, we will print on and experiment with items that usually you don't print on, small boxes, paper bags, envelopes, filters, and fabric scraps to name a few.
No drawing or print-making experience is required.

Supplies Needed to bring for Class:
Pencil
Scissors
Brayer
Glue stick
Black Oil stick: I use Shiva brand
Acrylic paint: no heavy body, whatever colors you like, any brand.
Big and small paintbrush or two.
Paper towels or rags, and a water container.
Paper Strathmore drawing paper, 400 series, 8 by 10-inch pad, white or cream
A Brayer
A clip Board, you don't mind getting paint on
A wooden spoon for rubbing the backs of the prints
Random paper items to print on, tags, envelopes, and text sheets torn from old books.
Optional:
Reference materials, and photos for image inspiration.

Blow dryer,
light and extension cord
Journal for note taking
