There is an elegance and playfulness to these sculptural books. We will construct two forms that record and display the wonder and wanderings of your play with color and pattern. The seemingly endless possibilities that come from the use of the materials and tools provided are yours to experience and interpret in your own style. By combining colored gesso and paint at various strengths and using design elements in the forms of stamps and stencils, interesting, complex, layered decorative effects on paper are achieved.

These are "no sew" forms that are constructed with tape, which will be provided. One book has overlapping pages that are cut to create pockets. The other is an even more simple design. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of form, it provides potential for variety, experimentation and your individual expression.

Supply list: apron, bone folder, ruler, xacto knife, cutting mat, pencil, scissors, plastic palette
