1060 - Rings, Relics & Riveting

Combine layers of metal sheet, objects, paper and fiber to create and build unusual and unique wearable rings. Focus on all cold joining techniques such as riveting, prongs and staples. Add height and dimension by use of negative and positive space. Be introduced to new tools such as disc cutters,forming block and bezel block to fabricate and manipulate dimensional shapes and bezel forms.

Materials fee of $24 is payable to instructor on day of class.

Supply List:  jewelers saw, size 0 or 1 blades, (or tin snips) wire snips, chain nose and needle nose pliers, ball peen hammer, anvil, vice

Optional:  drill, flat metal files, extra16 gauge wire, photographs, transparencies, extra sheet metal, personal objects

Materials fee includes: sheet metal, copper, tubing, screws, nuts, transparent paper, fiber, bezel, 16 gauge silver wire. Use of fabricating tools and expendables.
