Please note: this is the 1st day of a 3-day class--you must take all 3 days!
Come spend three ART filled days with me, creating an irresistible book of art out of simple supplies. We will create a blank art book out of matt board, tape, glue, watercolor paper, and gesso...then we will turn this creation into a piece of work that is alive and overflowing with art. This will be a class full of techniques, stamping, drawing, painting faces, layering, using gel transfers, journaling, and most of all expressing ourselves through our work. This class is for all levels and will be a wonderful three days to play and have a messy fun time!
Supply List:
--Ten or more or more sheets of Cotton Watercolor paper 9” x 12” or larger. I highly recommend Fabriano Artistico Traditional white Cold Pressed water color paper.
--Six sheets of matt board, all the same size, around 9" x 12" depending on how large or small you wish to work.
--Yes Paste (Michaels art and craft store)
--Golden Gesso
--Extra sticky masking tape, wide.
--Golden heavy body paints. Titanium White, Quinacridone Crimson, Hansa Yellow, Paynes gray, Quinacridone azo gold.
--A variety of Folk Art Paints (five or so should be plenty, pick your favorite colors, available at Michaels art and craft store)
--A variety of portraits, images from art books, self portraits, or magazines.
--Collage images, fun scrap papers, ephemera,
--Golden Medium Soft Gel Matte
--Shiva Paintstik oil Sticks. White, Ochre, Burnt Umber, Crimson, Slate blue, Green. (Dick Blick)
--A set of good Markers, I love Fibracolor makers...water based (www.dickblick.com)
--Art Crayons
--PVA glue, or permanent glue sticks
--Adirondack re-inkers... water based inks. (www.blockheads.com)
--Variety of detail stamps, flowers, script, leaves...etc.
--Scissors
--Several sheets of Fine grit sand paper
--White Gel pen (www.jetpens.com)
--Brushes
--Aquarella stabilo marks all black pencil (a must have) (www.dickblick.com)
--Pitt Pens or any fine permanent black pen.
