1044 - PMC Bezels & Resin Collage |
[back to quicklinks]
|
|
Join us for a day of fun as we explore PMC and create a fabulous collage pendant or brooch made from pure fine silver. This easy class takes all the fear out of precious metal clay. We will review the properties of this unique medium, discuss tools and firing methods, then get right down to creating flat free formed bezels. We will use deeply embossed stamps and tiny molded forms to decorate our pieces, fire the pieces using the Speed Cone, then collage and resin the bezels creating mini wearable works of art. We will teach you how to use the easy and inexpensive speed cone firing system. Once you try metal clay you’ll be addicted.
Instructor will supply PMC booklet, non stick telfla paper, sanding papers, sanding file, firing chart, collage images, resin, silver patina and polish, polish pad/cloth, pmc tools, drying hot plates, speed cone firing system.
There is no supply fee for this class but you must bring your own clay and tools.
Order your PMC from any of the sources listed below or your local craft or bead store.
Class tools and supplies:
--One 28 gram pack of pmc+ (makes one large brooch or two smaller ones)
or one 50 gram pack of pmc+ (make one larger brooch and two smaller ones)

--I recommend the Rio Grande PMC tool kit. Item # 111-411 $39.95 1-800-545-6566. This is the best and most complete tool kit I have seen. You can also obtain pmc tool kits from www.pmcconnection.com or www.pmcsupply.com
