Painting on fabric-old brushes, new pens...colors that work-or not...Wash techniques, alternative tools, T shirt puffy paint? no way! yes way! Everyone can do this... bravery and fearlessness the only requirement... patch it all together! sew or glue-your choice. Add beads, wire,charms, photos if you will...stitch on top of it all by hand or machine....if I can do fabric, you can too...share, laugh, collaborate, conspire!! Leave your preconceptions about fabric, letters and finished pieces at the door, Liquid Acrylic Inks, Oil pastels, metallic bars and stencils, shiny letters, gold and sparkly, Raw edges...join me!
Supply List:
--One yard of cotton muslin
--Fabric paints you already have
--Old Brushes-hairy , flat , pointed watercolor, house painting?
--Micron marker, Pitt pen, Sharpies, and /or gel pens
--Toothbrush/ Small Spray bottle
--Copy your Photos or images onto June Tailor (or similiar) Photo Transfer paper-available for color copiers or inkjet printers available at Michaels or JoAnns-be sure to reverse the image on the copier or printer.
--Favorite calligraphy pen nibs and holders you have, various sizes
--Speedball pen nib size C0 and a pen holder
--Zig Calligraphy marker-is available at target
--Purple disappearing ink pen-from the quilt section of Jo Anns
--Plastic palette-6 well
--Fabric Scissors, Ruler
--A FEW Fabric and various paper scraps, trim, miscellaneous fabric stuff, metallic thread,Embroidery floss,different textures-dont buy-we’ll share!
--Your theme-should be ‘you-based’...Photos, smaller mementos, symbols, charms, quotes and words,(dig really deep for meaningful to you words and quotes) beads and amulets that speak to a certain memory and/or your secret art self
--Iron ...if you live nearby (please, NOT from your hotel room!)
