Possibitlies are endless as we gather together for the day to explore mixed media techniques incorporating found object, painting, collage and wax on a small but heavy duty 3-dimensional wood substrate. Using the simple shape of a bird, house, flower, or if you prefer another simple motif, we will explore painting techniques that I use to create my own unique artwork. Learn all about Golden Absorbent Ground and its amazing range of possibilities. Combined with a wonderful textural surface, collage, found objects and a luminous layer of beeswax, you will go home with a beautiful work of art and a broad array of techniques that can be adapted to many art applications in this technique/project class. Clock mechanisms will be available and additional wood substrates will be on hand if you are feeling extra adventurous. Bring your hammer… Wood substrates measure 6x6x3"
No painting or drawing experience required.
