Join us for a fun day of creating a passel of pixies! These dimensional, stand-alone wooden cut-outs are just the starting point for a myriad of projects…think paper dolls taken up a notch! After creating the basic forms, we will attach metal hats, crowns and wings with tiny metal nuts and bolts and then the fun begins…where to perch your pixie? On vintage blocks, inside teacups or jars, on architectural elements…the possibilities are endless! Make a whole group to sit on top of your computer monitor! Fill up an empty shelf! Students will learn how to cut wood and metal with a jeweler’s saw, work with metal (drilling, shaping, etc), and learn general construction with cold connections. Kit Fee: $10 payable to instructor at beginning of class.
