P404 - Transfers & Transparencies |

|
This information-packed class involves learning to create dreamy layered images to use in your art without learning Photoshop. First, you’ll explore multiple non-toxic image transfer techniques, transferring to various papers, fabric, dominos and other materials. Many will use inkjet transparencies you can print on your home computer (learn how!), and you’ll learn the differences between using inkjet and laser copies for transfers. Then, during the second half of the class, you’ll be creating my very popular “glueless collage” ™. You’ll be utilizing the transfer techniques you’ve learned, as well as learning about the unique and wonderful layering effects possible using transparencies. Layering with transparencies will give your collages incredible depth and complexity formerly only available on Photoshop. Another part of the appeal of this type of collage is the ability to freely rearrange components. A printer/copier in the classroom will allow each of you to leave with an 8x10 print of your favorite collage to take with you. A comprehensive handout provided.
