Imagine yourself the creator of a spirit house a place specifically designed for quiet, reflective time, one that invites only the most tender and understanding of house or spirits to enter and dwell. This little home, constructed of mica, copper mesh, eyelets, twigs, ribbon, fabric scraps, and paper imagery is assembled with peace and pleasantry, and folded flat for travel or storage. Imagine how beautiful a gathering of little spirit houses would be when lit from within!
Supply List: --two or three packages large mica pieces can be purchased from volcanoarts.biz or coffeebreakdesign.com --1 roll 12x36 fine copper mesh screen also purchased from volcanoarts.biz --1 pkg. 1/8 short eyelets volcanoarts.biz or coffeebreakdesign.com --1 pkg. of 1/8 eyelet washers coffeebreakdesign.com (will hold in mica MUCH better with these) --eyelet setting tool volcanoarts.biz or coffeebreakdesign.com --small hammer --Japanese screw punch with no. 3 tip (volcanoarts.biz; an awl is a poor substitute, but will suffice in a pinch --fabric and lace scraps, plus enough fabric length to tear into thin strips of ribbon sheer fabric is good for see-through mica; heavier is good for scraps as hinges --PVA glue (dries clear, and quickly) volcanoarts.biz --2 small binder clips --transparency film imagery purchased from artchixstudio.com or printed on your own printer --exacto knife and cutting pad --metal ruler --scissors --twigs, pencils, paintbrushes for trees
