This fast-paced workshop is designed to get you to enjoy the creative process of play, have no fear in throwing paint down on paper, mixing art mediums, using kid’s tools like foam blocks and Popsicle sticks! Explore ways you can use everyday objects to create beautiful papers with a few of my favorite playful techniques like… monoprint sandwiches, glitter art glazes, dip-dyeing, freestyle lettering, doodling and resist. This is a technique-based class, so you will walk away with a stack full of glorious textured papers to use in books, ATCs, collage, cards and artists journals. Learn techniques as described in my book, "Collage Unleashed", available July 2006! Supply list: --Plastic paint scraper --Brushes - 2” flat brush, 1” foam brush --Brayer --Scissors --Painting smock --2-ply paper towels (I use Kirkland Brand from Costco) --Gesso --Acrylic glazing medium --Water container --Painting smock CLOSED - CLASS FULL Online registration for the Portland event is now closed.
