An eclectic collage workshop designed to push your creativity to a new level. In this fast-paced workshop, you will develop a series of “fusion-dyed” collages layered with color, words, letterforms and symbols. Create beautiful, transparent papers blended with treasured personal images that incorporate paper staining and dyeing techniques. Explore building layers of texture with stencils, painted stamped patterns and accents of written words/phrases. You will leave with a stack of handmade collages…great to use in ATCs, altered art, books and journals. Learn techniques from my book Collage Unleashed! Supply list: --Fluid acrylic paint & inks in your favorite colors --Scissors --Brushes - 2” flat brush, 1” foam brush, --Plastic paint scraper --Brayer --Elmer's Glue - 16oz. --Golden regular gel medium glossy --8 sheets of 18”x 20” freezer paper --2-ply paper towels --Water container --painting smock Optional supplies to enhance your project: --Images - black & white Xerox copies of photos, writing, journal pages and personal images. Large patterns, symbols & letters work best. Tip: enlarge images on the Xerox copy machine to blow up into backgrounds for collage. I will provide plenty to use. --Unmounted deeply etched stamps (I will have plenty to share) Questions?
