348 - Adorned: Small Bejeweled Dresses

[back to quicklinks]
$ 65

In this delightful class we will be making several dresses out of new and vintage heavy cotton fabrics. We will cut the patterns, trim them, iron, use fray stop, then embellish. Finally we will construct tiny handmade copper hangers for each one. I will also show you how to rig up a frame to display them at home.

Supply List:
--3 to 5 pieces (6"-12") of vintage or new fabric (preferably thick cotton, no polyester or flimsy fabric);
--small traveling iron;
--scissors;
--E-6000;
--LOW ODOR can of Krylon clear matte finish spray paint;
--small bottle Fray Check;
--bits and pieces of broken jewelry;
--approx 5 feet of copper wire, 16 or 18 gauge;
--round nose and flat nose pliers.
