Playing with glass is fun and exciting!  In this introductory class, we will talk about glass, play with glass and walk you through various projects that utilize your color sense as well as your design sense. Although there is no glass cutting in class, we will demonstrate proper glass cutting techniques and introduce you to the glass cutting tools that no glass artist should be without.  Become acquainted with glass terminology effortlessly, as we discover what glass compatibility means and why annealing is so important. You will be making Full Fuse and Fuse-to-Stick projects, and will thrill at the variety and quantity of small-scale pieces we can make in just one day.  If you are attracted to glass as a medium, this “fundamentals of kiln-forming” class will show you what it's all about. Join the fun! Supply List: --safety glasses --glass cutter( if you have them) --notebook --pencil/pen --favorite rubber stamps NOTE--this class will be held at the Holiday Inn, just down the road from the Embassy Suites.  The hotel shuttle will be available for those who need transportation.  Lunch is included in the cost of your class. Online registration for the Portland event is now closed. Late sign-ups will be taken at the Art & Soul office at the Portland event, depending upon availability.
