404 - Mixed Media Metal Clay Charms

[back to quicklinks]
$ 130 Plus $35 materials fee

Lean to make simple silver metal clay charms and bead forms. After the metal class is fired and finished, students will then make beautiful mixed media jewelry pieces. We will teach techniques using polymer, clay, resin, glass paints and faceted stones to add color and sparkle to your finished charms and beads. Wendy Wallin Malinow will demonstrate her award-winning technique, "polymer clay cloisonné", and ideas for filling hollow metal clay forms with innovative inclusions. Sherri Haab will show techniques using resin or paint to add color and depth to your silver charms. Finished pieces can then be used in a variety of ways. Make a 'sampler bracelet’ or choose a favorite technique to make a pair of earrings.
