Have you ever wondered how to get clock parts, metal, 3-D stuff (you know, the kitchen sink…) to attach to a collage? Are you impatient and hate to wait to do the next layer or step? If you love color, like to experiment and don’t follow all the rules, this class is for you.
Spend an evening creating a collage with paint and recycled materials while experimenting with some new ideas. Learn some quick techniques for pulling elements together; look at found objects with a new eye and learn various ways to attach them. You will go home with an 11”x 14” 3-D mixed media assemblage to hang on your wall.
Supply list:
*Junky paintbrushes in various sizes
*A blow dryer if it’s easy to pack (we can share…)
* Collage materials to share (examples: Chinese newspaper, ticket stubs, cocktail napkins, something interesting)
* Don’t buy anything new--we are recycling.
Material fee includes: Assemblage base boards, acrylic paint, acrylic medium, a grand assortment of papers, glue, beads, strange and familiar junk: buttons, keys, hardware, odds and ends, copper wire, sheet metal, colored pencils, ink.
