Let’s have fun, get messy, learn something about mixing color and pattern and create lots of extraordinary papers. From the simple yet elegant, to refreshingly complex, you will create a stack of unique paste paper. Playing with a variety of papers we’ll use stamps, stencils, and lots of junk to create one of a kind and print-offs to frame, to use for books, cards, collages and other art projects, or just to touch and admire. It’s a wonderful thing to have a pile of gorgeous and interesting patterned paper infused with your creative touch in your stash to inspire your next work of art. A great way to store your creations is the portfolio we’ll make. I’ll show you how you can turn this into a journal later with minimal sewing. It would be a perfect size for visual journaling.
You will receive a detailed handout and source list for all materials we use.
Supply list:
--apron
--vinyl gloves (a few pairs, if you want to keep your hands paint free)
Optional:
(I will have extra of these things so bring these only if you already have them, you don’t need to go out and buy anything for this workshop)
--heat gun or hair dryer
--stencils
--a few deeply carved stamps for using with paint ( “chunky” stamps, like the ones sold at Michael’s--hand carved stamps work great and some commercial ones do too if they are cut deep enough)

--book cloth or tape
--paste
--paints
--glaze
