Explore the abstract qualities of text, as well as its meaning. Words come in many fascinating shapes, colors, and sizes. Learn to produce word collages which have the appearance of illuminated manuscripts. You will explore ways to create thin layers of transparent paint to add mystery. Plenty of instructor demonstration and hands-on experience. Bring magazines, newspapers, and photocopied text in interesting styles or fonts.
