Create your own beautiful set of nesting dolls. We will use two methods for surface decoration—sculpting and embedding. We will look to patterns, texture and classic art and architecture to inspire our surface treatments. You will create a set of three functional nesting dolls during the workshop.
Supply List:
- Polymer clay (at least 2 ounces of flesh and 6 ounces of your chosen body color);
- extruder for polymer clay,
- sharp knife,
- small beads/charms
- Sculpting tools: needle tool, clay shapers, ball stylus & other favorite tools.
Optional items or suggestions to enhance the class project: Your choice of colors in acrylic paint and pearl-ex pigments. Small stamps—mounted or unmounted for texture. Also, bring a pasta machine if you prefer working with one.
