P369 - Moldable Foam Stamps MacGyver Style

[back to quicklinks]
$ 80

Especially when it comes to art making, I like repurposing or finding alternative uses for items. My intrigue and obsession with moldable foam to make my own stamps, and the fact that I’m MacGyver’s love child, has led me to discover alternative materials that work as moldable foam. My deep love and experimentation with this magical material has turned me into a moldable foam master! What is moldable foam? It’s a special foam that can take on the texture of different items to create stamps. I’ll teach you about everyday materials that can be used for moldable foam, and give you ideas for interesting items to use for the textures. You’ll leave class with various reusable moldable foam stamps that you’ve made and get to keep, the knowledge of how to make your own, and how to find other alternative materials. Making your own stamps is fun, and this is an easy but magical, stress-free process.  You will leave class not only with your own various moldable foam stamps, but also with the knowledge of how to MacGyver your own once you return home. And, in class you’ll be creating collage or background papers when you try out your stamps. So strap on your tool belt, grab a stamp pad and licorice lace, and let's go!

 $5 materials fee payable to the instructor includes:  the moldable foam and other items used in class to create the stamps.
