Before rubber stamps, there were stencils. They are still a powerful weapon in your arsenal. The question is when to use them and what kind to use.  Negative stencils, positive stencils, hot stencil cutters, lo-tech stencils, contact paper stencils, Xerox paper stencils and deli-paper stencils--we will look at them all.  Then we will conclude with the use of stencils with atomizer, spray paint and powders.  There is more to stencils than the precuts at the craft store!   Supply list: --cutting pad and Xacto knives  --scissors  --several feet of clear contact paper.  --small atomiser --several small bottles of craft paint, any color --various small brushes and a few cosmetic sponges  Optional:  a hot stencil burner found in the airbrush section of art catalogues or on the net; a sketchbook full of drawings CLOSED - CLASS FULL
