Create collage paintings with an edgy style and rich vibrant layers. Combining "fusion dyed" collage, painting & staining paper, monoprints, freestyle lettering and doodling, you will create visual journal paintings layered with black and white images, expressive sumi marks, spray painted letters, symbols, letterforms and written words. Inspired by the juxtaposition of colorful urban graffiti walls and blossoming gardens, you will unleash your creative ideas to create multiple layered collages with extreme, vibrant color, texture and raw edges. Supply List: --Favorite heavy bodied, fluid/ink acrylic colors --Golden acrylic glazing medium Satin --Golden soft gel gloss (16oz.) --Gesso --1 sheet - 22"x33" 140 lb. hot press (smooth) cut down to 15.5"x22" (yields two pieces) --5 sheets 12"x12" white cardstock --Black & white photocopies of images/writing/journal pages/line art (sharp contrast images work best).  TIP:  enlarge symbols, letters, words on photocopy machine --Collage ephemera/paper scraps-various colors & textures --15 2-ply white paper towels (Kirkland from Costco) --2" flat brush (hardware store brushes work great) --1" flat paint and various paint brushes --Plastic paint scrapper --two 1" foam brushes --two water containers --Brayer --Black chisel tip sharpie --Fine tip permanent black pens --Graphite pencil --White-out correction pen --Scissors --Painting smock --Adjective bank/theme - brainstorm a list of words, quotes, and phrases --A few doodling tools-prismacolor pencils, gel pens (soufflé and black glaze), brush markers, glitter/paint markers --Favorite unmounted stamps, stencils, printing tools Materials fee includes: Collage Unleashed aRt! kit of papers, b/w collage images, mark making tools, unmounted stamps and stencils, doodling tools-prismacolor pencils, gel pens (soufflé and black glaze), brush markers, glitter/paint markers
