Inspiration for this class comes from my book, “In This House,” released July 2007 by Quarry Books. Imagine if you will a template of a house, a blueprint, filled with collage and altered art techniques to create a home from your imagination. Explore what makes your house a home, and fill the rooms of your imagination with photographic imagery. With copies of relevant images and/or family photos, I will demonstrate techniques for making a photo mosaic with layering and embossing powder. In Your House you will create rooms that exist only in your imagination, or you may want to preserve real memories within your house template. Your house can be anything from a house filled with poetry to a dream studio in France, a journal of childhood, to a home filled with whatever you can imagine. Consider the possibilities your life presents to you, and the artistic ways that it can be expressed.  Each of you will leave class well on your way to completing a very personal work of art.
