On a 12x12 canvas we will work to create a personal collage journal in a mosaic format.  With photo-copied family photos, words, sayings and stamped photographs, we will create a collage of mosaic imagery.  I will take a Polaroid photograph of you that you will manipulate for the center of your piece and we will build your collage from the inside out.  This collage journal can embrace things that are meaningful to you, memories or places you like to visit, symbols or inspirational sayings.  I will teach you ways to embed, immerse, layer and alter your photos, adding color with transparent layers of acrylic paint and texture. Supply List: --12x12 canvas primed with gesso. --photocopied images on 24lb. photo paper or 110lb. cover card stock (if you plan to use a full image, copy it no larger than in 2 inches) Also bring snapshots we can cut up to make photo mosaics. --your favorite inspirational sayings or words printed out --papers you want to use --acrylic paints—Golden Paints are perfect for this technique. --paint brushes --matte medium and/glue stick --molding paste --sharp scissors --fine-tip black pen --sandpaper --rubber stamps --stamp pads --embossing powder --heat gun --water container Materials fee includes:  Polaroid film fee & extras, transparencies and additional collage materials CLOSED - CLASS FULL
