Combining cloth, metal and paper, create a large scale mixed media figure in an ‘assemblage’ party dress.  Explore several ways to fashion the face.  Add a frame armature, choosing from a variety of backings.  Play with  composition and layering.  Piece, glue and link scraps of various materials.  Decorate with memorabilia, drawings, fabric swatches, laces, trims, charms and trinkets.  Learn  shearing, crimping, bending, punching, folding, patterning, stitching, stenciling.  No sewing skills required but bring a desire to experiment and to use materials freely.  Your piece will neatly fold into your suitcase for your trip home. Supply List: --Hot Glue Gun --Scissors --Small metal shears  (I recommend Grace Chan garden or cooking shears) --Assortment of fabric swatches --Interesting papers --Several tin (or aluminum) cans --Assorted small trinkets and embellishments --Several xerox life-size portraits of self,  loved one, or personality Materials fee includes:  assorted backings and a variety of fabrics, metals, papers, glues, and charms.
