Starting with a blank canvas, we'll do the unthinkable!  We'll cut into it and insert a shrine-like opening and turn it into a 3-D project.  The shrine will create a site for tiny special treasures which could honor your life, home, mentor, family or art.  The day will include learning to create rich, layered backgrounds on your canvas, adding favorite images to the background, creating the shrine and finally, arranging and attaching all your special treasures in their place of honor.   Supply list:  --a few favorite images --small treasures (shells from the beach, twigs, vintage buttons, treasures from a trip or walk, a copy of a special document or letter...anything that has personal meaning to you --scissors --glue (preferably Ultimate! glue by Crafter's Pick...or Tacky Glue) --a few colors of acrylic paint --foam brushes --exacto knife --pencil --ruler   Materials fee includes: Stretched canvas, box, papers, foam core, images,  miscellaneous small items, paints, foam brushes, texture medium.
