Come spend the day with us constructing a NO SEW Extended Journal. Since this journal is in landscape format, it is a perfect opportunity to explore the concept of Nature’s landscapes such as trees, birds, plants, flowers, or maybe your own garden. Working with canvas board and the smallest fiber and/or paper scraps, you will learn a fast and easy fabric fusion technique that will turn your journal covers into a work of art. This is a chance to use all of the saved fiber or paper snippets and bits that are too small for most projects. In addition, you will be able to incorporate a wide variety of other materials such as pictures, photographs, natural elements, silk flowers and leaves, small flat metal items, or whatever strikes your fancy at the creative moment. After making the journal covers, you will use ribbons and a smallbranch to bind your watercolor signatures. Finally, composing inside your book - perhaps from gathered quotes, photos, memories, and found objects - pages about Nature that are sentimental, heart-felt, and personal.
