From found objects to fabulous jewelry--create one of a kind wearable works of art out of small toys to driftwood, and beyond. Choose from a variety of unusual found objects to create various different adornments. Learn how to connect objects together by using wire wrapping, jeweler's adhesives, and riveting. Work with different metals like brass, copper and steel, and discover the many uses of patina surfacing, from simple kitchen ingredients to more sophisticated chemicals. Each student will create several pieces of original art to wear and will possess a greater understanding of the jewelry making process.
Supply List: --favorite found objects --images or text from old books or Image sheets --jeweler's pliers --small hammer --beads or decorative elements (Optional)
Materials fee includes: copper, brass and steel, wire, jewelry findings (clasps, jump rings, crimp beads, and earring wires), sandpaper, image sheet, embellishments like small tins or toys, old rulers, and assorted beads. *I will also be providing access for all hand tools need to complete the project.
