Paint stories on cloth and paper with acrylic inks, liquid acrylics, and markers. Your story will be told with layered color shapes and patterns. Imagine and draw a moment in time with visual and word prompts. Ideas and designs will be talked about which will sustain your curiosity. Once your idea is drawn with guidance we’ll explore color. Acrylic Inks can be painted on cloth beautifully and the result resembles watercolor fusion. We’ll also use water-soluble markers to draw outlines and accents. Painting with liquid acrylics will add edges and details. The surface will be embellished with paper collage and “not so perfect” free motion machine stitching along with added bits of collage and text.

$15.00 fee paid to instructor at beginning of class includes: Acrylic inks, thin collage papers, black and white Stabilo pencils, paper cups, sewing threads.
I’ll bring close up images for reference, and tools to use while we work.
