C129 - Rusty Tin Tile Book

$ 150

Remember tin tile ceilings? This book is 8” X 8” with rusty tin tiles for covers. The embossing on the covers will be highlighted with copper foil and the corners will be covered with copper corners like the photo corners that are used. The book is bound with a coptic stitch that wraps on the outside of the book and is then decorated with beads during the binding process. I will be providing the pages for the book. The pages are 140 pound Exact Index white. The paper is strong enough to withstand painting, sketching, watercolor, rubber stamping, inking, etc. You will want to bring unused scrapbook papers, ledger papers, plain colored card stock, and any other papers you have and we will incorporate them into the book pages. You may want to pre-cut your papers to a maximum of 16 X 8, but I think it’s more fun to do odd sizes to create more interest in the book. This is also a great chance to use stickers you might have, rub-ons, die-cuts, etc., as a way to have something on the pages before you journal and sketch. I even incorporated a small watercolor painting that I knew I would never frame. You will have a great time putting this book together and it’s beautiful when it’s done.
