M221 - Fabric Journal Love
Some Sewing Machine Experience Required. We will have some beginning sessions on learning how to use the machines throughout the retreat.
We will create this enticing journal from start to finish in this class. Don't fret about not being an expert stitcher! This textile journal or sketch book is stitch and book beginner friendly. If you have any questions e-mail me at email@example.com

Supplies to bring:
Assorted fabrics for your cover and zip bag
Sewing machine in good working order. Don't forget all the attachments and power cords. Free motion capability preferred but not mandatory. Sewing machine: in good working condition and the ability to drop or cover the feed dogs.
We will have machines available if you are traveling. Please contact Glenny or Liz (firstname.lastname@example.org) to reserve a machine.
Thread to match your fabrics
Mixed media paper such as Strathmore or Canson. 20 pieces cut to 14" x 11" or your favorite book paper
Bone folder, straight awl, self-healing mat or cardboard scrap, binder clips
1 piece of card stock 3" x 11" (can be scrap)
Waxed linen thread and size 18 or 20 Chenille needle (available at artisticartifacts.com)
Ribbon, sari silk, or cord for wrap
For your convenience, you may pre-order your materials for classes! Your materials will be waiting for you at the retreat. And you can always purchase additional materials at the retreat.
