P315 - African Ostrich Eggshell

$ 150

Ostrich eggshells are wonderful things. Not only are they decorative, but have been used for years by the San people of Africa for storing water in the desert. We will take half a shell and embellish it with an assortment of different techniques to make a very special and unique item.

Kit: $35.00 paid to instructor at beginning of class includes:
½ of an African Ostrich Eggshell
Assorted wires
Assorted Vintage and modern African Beads
Stand for Eggshell Bowl

You will need to bring:
Sandpaper 320 and 400 grit
Wire Cutters
Scribe with sharp point
Assorted Paintbrushes
Colored Sharpie Pens
Large Soft Make Up Brush for applying leaf
Ephemera*
Glue Stick
Pencil
Any Natural items that you may want to use to embellish your bowl
such as feathers, twigs, dried leaves, thorns etc.

Instructor will bring the following to share:
Imitation Gold/Copper Leaf
Leaf Size

*Printed paper napkins are good because the paper is thin and takes the shape of the shell very well.
