P290 - Extreme Abstraction

$ 150

We’re going to extremes with this abstract collage workshop. First we’ll make several of our collage elements, such as marbled paper, Tyvek, plaster of Paris stones, and clay sculpted accents. We’ll add voluminous textures to our substrates. Carol will discuss the importance of color, composition, texture and tonal values in making eye-stopping abstracts.
Our substrates will be extreme – no squares or simple rectangles. Carol will supply each student with a wood substrate with a minimum ratio of 4:1 (height:width). Learn the one element you can add to your abstract that will vastly increase its appeal to your collectors.
