There is something very satisfying in hammering and moving metal! Taking a flat sheet of metal and transforming it into a beautiful art form.
 With just a few basic tools you can get started on this wonderful journey in this class you will be introduced to different styles of hammers, stakes and blocks seeing how their shape influences the movement of the metal.
You will make a basic forming block and work with copper to see how you can make them work together to create different forms.

Basic jewelers’ tools like as flat nose, chain nose, round nose pliers, flush cutters, chasing hammer, jewelers saw frame, clamp on medium size vise, butane torch, ear protection. Jewelers’ files medium and fine cut, please no Harbor Freight specials. Steel bench block. Old butter knife (not sharp)
