In this workshop students will be introduced to a variety of mixed-media techniques to create lush and colorful backgrounds through the art of layering.

Layering is the practice of overlaying various colors, textures, and patterns to create unique and vibrant backgrounds. Using acrylic paint, students will be guided in how to use a variety of mediums that are compatible with acrylic in order to achieve unique and compelling backgrounds. Students will complete at least three backgrounds on 9x12 watercolor paper. Suitable for all levels.
