This is a very detailed workshop all about Cyanotype Printing. We will learn the history of Cyanotypes and then create several projects. One part learning and creating Cyanotype Prints and another part using the creations in art and stitching.

Learn the art of Cyanotype printing and create your own prussian blue nature prints perfect for framing.

Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography using the sun and uv rays.

After learning the cyanotype process on fabric, we will create a beautiful slow stitch project using the unique nature printed fabrics. Learn several embroidery stitches to incorporate into your project.
 

Materials Fee $20 paid at beginning of class includes:

cyanotype solution, heavy paper to create several botanical Prints, framing mat, botanicals, found objects and naturals, fabric, stitching supplies, natural dyed fabrics, vintage fabrics, lace, trims, buttons, beads, embroidery thread and needles.
