One evening when I was walking through my darkened house on the way to the bathroom, I noticed a light shining in from outside. It came in through the window and glanced across a shrine I had hung on the wall. I paused to reflect on how it illuminated the inside in such a perfect way. The little world, which I created on the inside, was set aglow and looked more enchanted than I ever intended. I was so struck with this moment that I knew I needed to explore the idea of darkness and light more intensely. In this workshop you will learn to assemble a variety of objects into the tiny shrine world. Learn to position lights, sent them into place using different connecting techniques and hide those unsightly cords. Problem solving is emphasized for use in future works of art! The student will also create tiny bezel settings to hold miniature objects carefully in place and present them in a decorative and bejeweled way. Please join me for a day of Create a very unique sculptural and decorative wall shrine from a simple candy tin. Illuminate the inside with decorative tiny lights that will allow your inner world to glow!
