In this class, fabric, fiber, bead and mixed media art unite. It collides in a wondrous explosion of rich colors and texture. If you LOVE IT ALL....then this exciting class is for you. So pull out your fabric stash, bring out your embroidery threads, beads and chunky fibers. We will create a one-of-a-kind, dimensional and rich art piece, that will be densely embellished with the techniques learned in the class. Working on a fabric base, I will show you how to create a unique embroidered figure with freeform dimensional accents and embellishments. I will show you how to make a rich collection of fabric oddities, how to alter fabrics, create mixed media appliqués and how to embroider in order to achieve a unique outcome....plus much more. Treat yourself to learning all the wonderful confections this class will offer.
As you learn these various techniques, you will immediately apply it to the creation of your fabric art piece. This class is intended to free you up. Perfection is impossible and not the goal. Supply List:

• a yard of muslin
• an assortment of fabrics to play with:This can be store bought, hand painted, or recycled fabric from old clothes or embroidered textiles.
• 1/2 a yard of sheer colored fabrics, 5-6 100% cotton fabrics in your favorite colors, black and white, silk, hand dyed and/or painted.
• embroidery floss in black and various other colors
• embroidery needles
• a thimble (if you use one)
• beading or hand sewing needles
• a baggie of polyfil
• 1/2 a yard of felt
• heat gun
• Black beading thread
• an assortment of beads
• if you have crochet or knitted bits, flowers or shapes bring it.
• Sewing machine...if you can't bring a sewing machine, please let me know.

Note: I will bring an assortment of fabrics, threads and fibers to share. Simply, do your best to bring items that are meaningful to you.
