3070 - Soldering With Silver - The Easy Way

Come and discover the simplified soldering techniques of a new silver alloy known as Argentium® Sterling Silver. With a simple propane torch, participants will design and create their own unique pendant centerpiece from Argentium sheet, wire and rings. With a full explanation of this alloy’s amazing working properties, we will explore repetition pattern created by bulls-eye and infinity designs and add overhanging rings to connect into a chain pattern. No experience necessary; just a big smile and willingness to conquer the fear of flame.

Supply List:

• optivisor
• task lamp
• metal files
• tin-snips
• hair restraints(if applicable)
• propane or butane torch (available at your hardware store)
• soldering surface (fire-brick, hard Solderite, or ceramic tile)
• Pliers: 2x flat-nose, round-nose (instructor will bring pliers to share

Material Fee Includes:

• Argentium sheets, wires, jump rings, solder, and use of Swanstrom pliers.
