3060 - Birds of a Feather

We"ll transform layers of tissue and photocopies into wonderful mixed media collages. These tissue collages can be rich and layered while remaining delicate and transparent. Using mark making, collage, writing, and layering, we"ll create 4-6 collages around the idea of Birds of a Feather, finishing class with several works that will be a cohesive series.

Supplies:

• 6 9x12 sheets of 140 lb cold press watercolor paper
• Liquid acrylic medium (gloss)
• Small jar gloss acrylic medium
• Handful of acrylic paints – include black, and other colors of your choosing & Paint brushes, water container
• Hair dryer
• Glue stick
• Scissors
• Baby wipes
• Black china marker, any other colors
• white gel pen
• art crayons
• charcoal pencil
• copic multiliner or other copic brush tip markers
• collage elements

Materials Fee includes:  tissue papers for layering, freezer paper, and image packets, materials to make simple stamps
