Working with just scraps of fabric and a small amount of embellishments, plus a new material called “Softsculpt”, we'll create arty little quilted bracelets that hold their shape after heating. Lots of different hand and machine quilting techniques will be covered, as well as bead embellishment, fabric collage, and using found objects to make a unique piece of soft sculpted jewelry. Most students will finish in class and possibly start on a second piece. Supply List: --5 or 6 different patterns cotton fabric (1/4 yd. each or fat quarters) --sewing thread in coordinating colors --embellishments such as beads, buttons, charms and found objects --a small amount of trims and/or ribbon --needles (sewing, embroidery, beading) Instructor will provide:  Softsculpt and craft foam, patterns, printed fabric imagery, cotton fabric, some embellishements such as beads and buttons, clasp findings. Note:  This class requires a sewing machine that does a zig-zag stitch. We will have a couple of machines in class to share, but it would be best if you can bring your own. CLOSED - CLASS FULL
