Freestyle machine stitching... funky beaded embroidery...luscious, random stitching techniques that are layered on hand painted patchwork art quilts of altered cloth to create a funky embellished tote. We will explore fabric painting and dyeing techniques including color scraping, monoprints, dyed cloth stamping, dimensional doodles, stenciling and glazing. Learn how to doodle letters, words and faces on fabric, layer fabric with hand painted transparencies and colored-dyed fabric images. No sewing experience required. Check out The Big Summer Sac in Belle Armoire July/August 2006 and my book Collage Unleashed! Sewing machine required.
