Explore the vast possibilities resins have to offer in journaling and jewelry by utilizing your own notes, sketches and personal sheets of paper. With a variety of techniques, create a stack of handmade transparencies to include in a journal or use in your own work. Learn techniques such as heat transfers, burns and inclusion of oil pastels on resined tissue paper. Learn proper application and safety tips. Be introduced to using resins on flat or domed metal objects and filling recesses and bezel forms. Students will complete a collection of elements, transparent paper and take home endless ideas for this technique. Sources for bezels and resin products. Supply List: --interesting personal papers --sponge paint brushes --needle-nose pliers --chain nose pliers --metal files or sand paper --wire snips --small objects --text --scissors --photos etc. Optional: wire (20 or 18 gauge to attach as charms) , found object bezel forms such as beer tops, small tins, cocoa metal lids etc., wire jewelers saw, bench pin, anvil Materials fee includes: 2 handmade sterling silver bezels, 10 manufactured brass bezels, resins, organic materials, handmade transparency, eyelets, heat transfers, handout and expendables.
