Everyone loves the beauty of the ocean and the crystal clear waters of the tropical seas. Now you can experience these wonders year-long by creating this clear acrylic journal with pages that contain all things visible.
Students will begin by creating a clear resin window embedded with objects representative of the sea. Using provided images, student will create 3-D acrylic covers using transparencies, tar gel, and alcohol inks. Techniques will be shown for using transparencies, vinyl, resin, tar gel, and plastic as students construct a variety of pages using windows and clear inclusions. The end result will be a small journal that you will “clearly” enjoy!
