Build distinctive personal metal structures in a jewelry art form
that is reminiscent of past cultures. In India, these forms are meant to
hold special prayers, goals or messages and bring them to fruition. As
an American artist, I construct these forms using an array of fabricated
metal, wire and found objects.
Cold connection techniques include attachments by
drawing a bead, cold knots, dimensional rivets and alternative cold join
forms. Learn an array of new ideas, be introduced to a variety of new
tools and finish a pendant prayer box. As time allows build a
dimensional wire ring structure and metal forms and work with resin.
Supply List: hammer, anvil, needle nose pliers, chain nose pliers, wire
snips, tin snips (or jewelers saw, blades and bench pin), small file,
optional- interesting objects, additional silver wire, (I will provide
copper wire and sheet metal as you need)
Materials fee includes: silver round bezel, transparent paper
forms, use of resin, some 18 gauge silver wire for ring form, sheet
metal, copper wire rivets and expendables.
