The art of collage offers enormous creative potential...easy and non-intimidating for the beginner and expansive and challenging for the advanced artist. Join Cathy Taylor, award winning mixed media artist and member of the National Collage Society and International Society of Experimental Artists, for an exploration into the limitless world of collage. Topics include found paper collage, collage with mixed media, rice paper collage, frottage, transfer techniques, found object collage, and monoprinting into collage along with other exciting techniques. The workshop will begin with exciting, fun filled demonstrations followed by lots of time to create.  Bring a spirit open to endless possibilities, some glue, and lots and lots of stuff and junk! Supply List: --Watercolor paper - 140 lb cold or hot press, any brand 1 or 2 sheets, 22"x30" --Pigments - watercolors, acrylics, inks your favorite or an assortment --Brushes - your favorite watercolor or acrylic brushes and a couple cheap foam brushes --Plain white tissue paper --Glue - any glue such as Elmers, Sobo, or Craft glue --Acrylic matte Gel medium --Scissors and/or exacto knife --Pencils, colored pencils, crayons --Paper towels , apron, sponges, water container, spray bottle --Rubbing alcohol --Masking tape --Gum eraser --Found papers and stuff
