H165 - Moldmaking 101

This explores the basic moldmaking process. We will go through the step by step process of making a two-peice, flexible silicone rubber block mold. We will also cover "glove " molds and "press" molds with an opportunity to use them. You will learn to make a mold of a one of a kind, antique or precious item so that in future you will be able to use your one of a kind item without destroying it, and you can make many copies of this item. This class is a must for doll makers.

$50 kit fee payable to the instructor includes: all materials...Silicone rubber, comprehensive handout on moldmaking, use of small tools,use of mold materials, all disposables, use of prototypes and use of molds to cast prototypes, plastic casting material.
