H166 - Big Birdz

Big birdz is designed as a "garden statue class" with the size of the finished art being flexible. Learn the central armature construction, fleshing out and covering techniques of wrap, drape and cut. Make a Heron, Flamingo or a fantasy bird of your choice. We use Paverpol (a water based, eco-friendly resin system that hardens as it dries) to cover your feathered friend, glass eyes and armature construction. Surface details are finished in acrylic paint and later varnished for outdoor durability. We are certified Paverpol Instructors.

$50 Kit fee payable to the instructor includes:
Paverpol resin, Wire for armature, glass eyes,acrylic paint, comprehensive hand out, all disposables, brushes, styrofoam, wax paper, containers and more.

Supplies to Bring:

Apron, Pre-washed t-shirt material or cotton sheets(second hand stores a good source), roll of tinfoil, 3/4" masking tape. We will also have some pre washed cotton sheets.
