H128 - Electroforming Copper Charms

Turn twigs, leaves, seashells and other small objects into copper!  Learn how to electroform with copper to make charms for jewelry using environmentally friendly methods.  The class will give you the confidence you need to understand electroforming and also electroplating.  The finished pieces will be made into charms to attach to chain using wire wrapping techniques

 

$20 Kit fee payable to the instructor includes:

Varnish, conductive paint, wire, 18 inch chain necklace, head pins, beads

 

Students please bring:   Bring 2-3 pieces to electroform on.  The pieces must be thoroughly dried if using organic pieces such as leaves, twigs, pods or seashells.  You can also form copper on small objects such as small plastic charms (monopoly pieces, crackerjack toys, glass beads, etc).  The objects cannot be metal.  Bring round nose and chain nose pliers, wire cutters
