Explore the vast possibilities resins have to offer in jewelry and in combination with metalwork. Learn mold making and cast charms using a non toxic, jewelers grade resin.  This hands on workshop offers many ground breaking techniques such as creating and filling hollow bezel forms and working with nature to create durable, water proof elements such as sticks, flower buds and egg shell.  Create colorful stone like textures from organic material such as sand, pepper and crushed powders. Use resin on paper to create transparent layers or journal pages. Students will complete a collection of elements, build a mold and take home endless ideas for this technique.

 

9 hour workshop

$25 Kit fee payable to the instructor includs:  sterling silver bezels, brass and found object bezels, wire, sheet metal, jewelers grade resins, organic materials, paper and expendables.
